Pattaya Thailand Travel

“I Have found the best place on Earth to Travel...No Joke”

I wont’t tell you it took a lot of research, because it didn’t.  I knew I was fascinated with Asian since I was a kid.  I just loved those ninja and kung-fu movies.  I figured traveling to Asia I would be like being thrust into a full on Samurai Movie.  It was so far from that ideal it wasn’t even funny.  But for a guy, Pattaya Thailand is probably the greatest travel destination on earth.  Let me explain….

Some of this might be controversial, I understand that.  So before I get to those comments, let me hit the high lights of what this vacation destination is all about.   I’ll cover three areas here: weather, cost, and location.  Then we’ll move onto the ‘fun’ aspect.

Pattaya Weather

Thailand has some unbelievably good weather all year around.  However it does have the rainy season during the summer.  This time of year can be quite hot and humid too.  But the rain rarely stays for more than a few hours and then it is gone.

If you travel to Pattaya during the high or peak season you will be in for a treat that is for sure.  The weather is amazing and the days are dry.  There are a lot more people there during that time of year for the same reason.  You’ll just have to figure out what is right for you.  I can say from personal experience my favorite time of year in Pattaya is November through April.  Just take a look at this rain fall in Pattaya, and you tell me.

The Cost Of Traveling To Pattaya

Pattaya is cheap…at least compared to the Western World.  There is not doubts costs are rising and the value of the Dollar and Euro are falling making this less of a cost concious travel destination than it was a few years ago. However, relatively speaking it is still a great bargain.

The cost of a hotel in Pattaya can run the gamut.  You can find a small apartment that will charge you $20 a day if you rent for a month or longer.  You can also find a luxury hotel in Pattaya that will cost you hundreds of Dollars a night.   That is what makes this place so great, there is a place to stay from the value to luxury traveler.

Even with the exchange rate going through the roof thanks to the financial crisis, you still come out a winner in Thailand.  Paying $55 dollars a night for a first class hotel room 1 block from the beach sure seems like a great value to me.

Pattaya Location

OK, I’m not talking about giving you a geography lesson here.  If you don’t know where Thailand is on a map go here.  If you do, you know it is a long darn plane flight from just about anywhere.  What I’m talking about here is miles and miles of beach front coastline.

It is also a short drive from Bangkok, another great city, and a short plane flight to Phuket and Koh Samui.  Plus it’s location makes it a great starting out point for traveling to other parts of South East Asia.  Fancy a trip to see the ruins of Angkor?  Just a short hop away.  how about seeing Laos or Vietnam?  Ditto on the plane flight.  It is a fantastic place to start you Asian adventure.

Having Fun In Pattaya

When I said I found the best place in the world to vacation this is the part I am talking about.  If you are a family with small children, don’t visit Pattaya.  It is not for you.  Yet you see them there by the hundreds, I don’t know what travel agent booked their trip, but they should ask for a refund.

This place is heaven for single men, young and old alike.  There are hundreds, if not thousands of bars that line the various streets and Soi’s of Pattaya.  They are all filled with beautiful Pattaya Girls waiting to meet you.

Let me tell you, if you can’t have fun in a place like this then you are probably already dead, go home and lie down.  The music is pumping on Walking Street and Beach Road is jammed with people.  It is a place that overwhelms the senses and you’ll be so turned around you won’t know what to do with yourself.

Pattaya is an amazing place to vacation and one any man should have high on his list of places to visit.
